Good ingredients, careful preparation, and a menu built for regulars, not just special occasions.
Updated by the restaurant
Some of our favorite ingredients only make sense when they’re fresh and in season, so our specials change often and are usually available in limited quantities.
We would rather bring in a smaller amount and serve it at its best than keep extra just to make sure it never runs out.

About Oto
Oto Sushi started on the Eastside in 2011 with a simple idea: serve fresh ingredients, make good sushi, and keep it at a price that people can come back for often.
A lot has changed since then. Kirkland and Redmond have grown, our team has grown, and so has our menu. But the basic idea behind Oto hasn’t changed very much.
We still believe good sushi doesn’t have to be a special-occasion luxury. We care about the fish, the rice, the ingredients, and the small decisions made every day behind the sushi bar.
After more than fifteen years and two locations, that’s still what we’re trying to do: make sushi we’re proud to serve, at a price we think is fair.

Freshness, Every Day
Freshness matters especially in sushi, and it’s something we pay attention to throughout the day — not just when ingredients arrive.
We check our fish and other ingredients constantly. If something isn’t where we want it to be, we would rather not serve it.
That’s also why many of our daily specials are intentionally limited. We bring in what we believe we can serve at its best, even if that means occasionally running out.
Gluten-Free at Oto
Eating gluten-free at a sushi restaurant can be surprisingly difficult. Too often, the choices come down to removing a sauce, skipping an ingredient, or settling for a very short list of options.
Oto offers a dedicated gluten-free menu with a wide range of sushi, rolls, appetizers, and other dishes. If you eat gluten-free, ask for our gluten-free menu and see what’s possible.
